Which olsen twin was on full house

The twins were only nine months old when they began filming for Full House , and the series had to follow strict limits when it comes to how long a child actor can be working on set. Having two babies alternating playing the role helped the show to be on-schedule as they can simply swap the kids and continue filming.

This set-up continued even until the girls were old enough like Cameron or Sweetin when they were cast and lasted throughout the show's whole eight-season-run. However, there's a cool way to distinguish which Olsen twin is playing Michelle in certain scenes thanks to some notable differences. As Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are fraternal twins, there are some key distinctions between them. Physically, Ashley has a freckle on her right cheek, while her sister's is on her upper lip.

Mary Kate's ears are more rounded, while her sister's are pointy. Michelle even joined the Honeybee troop, following in the footsteps of her older sisters, Stephanie and DJ. While Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen often alternated playing Michelle, one of the twins portrayed her more often and almost exclusively had the role. That is, before John Stamos stepped in and advocated for both twins. Together, they all did their part in raising Danny's three daughters — D. Sharing the role of Michelle Tanner on Full House served as the Olsen twins ' big break in the entertainment world.

To this day they're recognized for the part, although they and their careers took a much different trajectory shortly after their departure. That being said, it's reasonable to think that Stamos directly talking to them before the series premiered could have made a big difference.

However, if Stamos or anyone from the cast and crew of Fuller House attempted to reach out to them again after Fuller House season 1, it would be understandable if the Olsens had lost interest.

For starters, critics' reviews were mixed, despite the sitcom being an instant hit on Netflix. Additionally, the few meta-jokes about Michelle were, frankly, done in poor taste and might have even been offensive. The main Full House cast continues to claim that they have nothing but love for Mary-Kate and Ashley, and that they're disappointed that the twins didn't join Fuller House. But knowing about what really happened behind-the-scenes, at least according to Stamos , there could've been a way for either one or both of them to be on the sequel.

So it's a little bit unfair that Michelle's absence in the show has primarily been blamed on the Olsens considering how the situation was handled overall.
